Catch My Drift?
I only just realised it’s been over a month since I’ve posted anything on my site. What’s going on??? Luckily, as the case may be, this is due to excessive work commitments and not sheer laziness (as is so often the case at other times). The end of the year has almost arrived and Denton has me hard at work. Slave driver.
These sensational images are the covers to a book I’m currently scripting. Spotlight: Drift will be out next year and I’m once again joined by the art team of Casey Coller and Joanna Lafuente (Spotlight: Blurr).
Drift was a character I cooked up (with design by Guido Guidi) so it’s a lot of fun to shed some light on just who he is and where he came from.
The initial spark (pardon the pun) for Drift’s creation came about due to two things. Firstly I wanted a character in AHM that had a particular element to him that I didn’t see readily available elsewhere and secondly because, frankly, I thought it would be a great idea for Hasbro to have an Autobot Drift racer.
As it stands Hasbro thought it would be a fun idea too and here we are (although I’m just really excited to be working with Case and Jo again).
Apart from that the covers have been coming in for AHM #10 and they’re looking brilliant! We’re on the home stretch now (I just need to write the darn things).
Also thanks to all of the readers who have been emailing with their praise for AHM. I’m really glad to hear you’re enjoying it and, whilst I might be busy, I’m always happy to make the time to reply.
Cheers!

Dear Primus, those covers look beautiful. I can’t wait to read this book.
Covers look damn good. I’ll buy both of them!
Just wondering Shane, are you coming to SDCC or England next year?
